We provide a platform for both emerging and established voices to share original, creative, and thought-provoking work with a global literary community.

Content Submissions
We are open for submissions year-round.
What We Accept
Contributions must be in the following forms:
- Bookish Essays – personal reflections, literary criticism, or cultural commentary connected to books and reading.
- Bookish Poetry – original poems that engage with themes of literature, imagination, or the human experience.
- Book Reviews – insightful, honest, and constructive reviews of books across genres.
- Bookish Visual Art – artwork inspired by books, reading, and the many textures of literary life.
Guidelines
- All contributors must read, understand, and agree with our Voluntary Contribution Policy, Editorial Guidelines, and other policies prior to making any submission.
- All submissions must be original and unpublished. Work must not have been published elsewhere or submitted for publication elsewhere at the time of submission.
- Please include a short author/creator bio (50–100 words) when completing the form.
- By submitting, you grant The Bookish Magazine permission to publish your work online and in future print or digital compilations, with full credit to you.
Payment & Fees
We do not offer payment for submissions. However, currently, there is no fee to submit your work. As part of our commitment to celebrating contributors, we nominate selected pieces for the Best of the Net and/or Pushcart Prize.
